Spain Takes First Place in 2017 Global Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Index

Spain attains 1st place in the Global Travel & Tourism competitiveness index  for 2017

The Spanish economy continues its steady recovery, maintaining first place for the second time in the world travel and tourism competitive index.

Spain leads with a slight score improvement from 2015 5.3 to 5.4. International arrivals recorded at 68.521.255 while tourism inbound receipts totalled US $56.468.0 with an average of US $ 824.1 per arrival.

The world’s most tourist friendly country also ranked 2nd on Tourist Service Infrastructure and 9th on Air Transport Infrastructure.
