Barcelona is the second most preferred travel destination by Luxury Tourists, globally!
According to a study carried out by Condé Nast Johansens, Barcelona is the second most preferred destination for luxury tourists globally, after New York.
When asked about the type of accommodation the luxury travellers preferred, 76% said a cruise, 73% luxury hotel, and 70% a hotel chain. The study also revealed that 45% of the luxury traveller’s preferred to reserve the maximum suite category available.
The average annual spend of the luxury traveller in Spain is between 3,465 – 6,295 euros per person, while the usual traveller spends approximately 1,072 euros.
83% of travelers who follow destination guides and luxury hotels have an average annual income of approximately 128,000 euros and carry out an average of one to four trips a year, between long-stay departures, less durable trips and short-breaks weekend.
